After capturing them on camera to expose the Mumbai molestation case on New Year's Eve, the two HT photographers have also helped the legal process by identifying 14 arrested men as the attackers.

The suspects were paraded in front of the two photographers in Arthur Road Jail on Saturday and the identification process has been positive.

The suspects have managed to get bail from court but they still have to be in jail for a while.

A mob of 50 people were reported to be present when the two NRI women were molested outside a five star hotel in Juhu on New Year's Eve.

National outrage followed the incident, which was caught on camera but the police lodged an FIR only after massive public pressure.

After the Mumbai police was criticised for its lax handling of the case, the police as well as the state government swung into action.

The state government ordered a special fast track court for the case and the Deputy Chief Minister asked the Police Commisioner to take very stern action against those arrested, action that would serve as a deterrent for others.

these molesters should not have been let out on bail so easily. It gives them a chance to go back into society and repeat the same crime again. One cannot even begin to imagine what those two women underwent. Looking at the larger picture, I am inclined to believe that men in our country are getting carried away with what they view on the big screen, courtesy bollywood. Most actresses in today's movies are skimpilly dressed and somewhere down the line, men believe its their right to be able to view women in such light. I used to be a proud mumbaikar but dont feel like that at all anymore. I feel totally ashamed to call myself that now.
