Techies at a technopark in Kerala can be seen taking a break from their hectic schedule.
It is in one such session that this group thought of making stress-fighting sessions more creative. And the result is the album Voice of the Park, which essentially is a blend of cultures with songs in English, Hindi, Malayalam and Tamil.
"We actually work in quite tight schedules so like after six clock we find out time to engage in some kind of extra curricular activities. So we actually dedicated all time after six o clock," said Anand Venkitaraman, IT professional.
Recent studies reveal that high stress is causing severe depression among IT professionals.
While many techies have tried bonsai gardening and dancing as stress busters, those behind this album are convinced that singing is the best mantra to come out of stress.
To spread this message they have already distributed about 8000 CDs of music album free of cost. And the response shows the message is well taken.
"If I am going to sit in front of a computer for 9 hours and I'm going to work then I'm going to get bugged. Definitely I loose my creativity but if I work for 8 hours and go out and sing for two hours and come back. The results are stunning," said Indu Ramakrishnan, IT professional.
The catchword of Kerala's techno park is harmony at work, and with techies here promising to bring out more music album, probably its time to say creativity at work.
