Message from India:

Barack Obama, the man who had the audacity to hope, will take over the reins of the United States on January 20 in the midst of an economic crisis said to be the worst ever in a long long time.

Not only is Obama saddled with recession, but he also has to deal with wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and the threat of terrorism amid a historic transfer of power.

But in great crisis lies great opportunity. Former US president Bill Clinton was known to have complained that since he never faced a great crisis, he could never hope to be remembered as a great president. For all the difficulties he faces, Obama has a clearer shot at greatness than any of his recent predecessors.

Obama's win in the American elections was not another victory that comes every four years. It was the victory of the ordinary individual, who rose from a crowd of ordinary individuals to represent them. The victory of democracy, a world voice. In that world voice are many from far away India, voices that gave strength to Obama's campaign and win, regardless of the fact that they wouldn't be casting a vote in the American elections. Their clamour was for a world leader, for a human face as the most powerful man in the world.

As he enters office, write a message for Obama.

let us hope that Barack Onama's extraordinary journey to US Presidency remains as an example to every nation, that petty politics in the name of race, caste or religion be no basis for laundering state politics, that every man be given true opportunity in the real sense of democracy to lead the nation from the front if he/she qualifies.IMPOSSIBLE IS NOTHING!

Surely, (hopefully) Obama wont be like other presidents before him. He was elected not just by the votes of US citizens, but also by the prayers from around the world.

Congragulations on becoming the President of United States of America. I look forward towards the economic recovery , peace and happiness during your tenure.
I have long thought about Creating a Federal Property Office who will stand as Guarantor for all the properties in United states and thereby allow the institutions and banks to give Soft loans/assistance to all its property owners thereby unleasing liquidity and spending power to revive the economy. This will also act as tool to stop the fall of the property prices.
