yes!!! solution: 1. to vvip/vip do not accept any invitation to attend a public function, if traffic has to be stopped for their safety. leave such engagements to other regular officers who are responsible for execution of projects meant for common man's good 2. to organisers:pl alllow vvip/vip people to discharge their duties and obligations from their ministries/offices and do not invite them for public function

In order to please VIPs, extra security cover is provided. The security guards create their own rules and regulations and cause inconvenience to the road users. In the process.innocent lives are lost. Medical emergency is an emergency. When a patient is carried by an ambulance, it is natural that everyone should pave way for the ambulance to proceed,so that the critically injured victim can be provided immediate medical care in the hospital and his life saved. Preventing entry of such ambulances in hospitals or restricting their movement on account of security reasons cannot be accepted. The Prime Minister should issue directions to all concerned throughout the country to ensure that such a thing as had happened recently should not be repeated.

The question should be, is it right to make the common man suffer in the name of VVIP security ? Are they not public servants. Then why are they over and above the public? why is it that there is no specific time allocated for VIP traffic? The busy streets of Every capital in the country is stalled, stuffed and jammed every evening coz of CM or Home Minister traffic. Why dont they prefer the non peak hours for travel? If the Netas are above the common man then please ask them to be away from the common man and at non common man times. Why do they want to return home in the common mans times? despite they reachind the office only after 11.

i feel its best to see this as a "NECESSARY EVIL" ,no doubt it is needed but at the same time we also need to ensure that its undesirable consequences that influence the smooth operation of public life be minimized as much as feasible if not totally eradicated,i feel this entire debate is a little off target, the question in contention should not be whether "VIPS NEED THIS SECURITY OR NOT " but instead should be "HOW BEST CAN WE PROVIDE THEM SECURITY AS WELL AS MAKe SURE IT HAS ITS LEAST BEARING UPON COMMON MAN" . Lets not compare and complicate the issue, though my heart goes out to the victim & the grieving, they had there share of blame to bear as they were moving in a "private car" and not an ambulance wonder what some of those complaining would have had to complain if instead of a genuine case it was some terrorist outfit faking it to create mayhem !

If there is a medical emergency in my house, I will be the first person to take out my car and rush the patient to the nearest hospital instead of wasting precious time, waiting for an ambulance. In the instant case, the car with the patient was made to move from one gate to another a number of times. Could the security personnel not have ascertained whether there was a real patient inside in death throes? And if they were terrorists, they, for sure, would not have moved from one gate to another at the behest of the security personnel. Let us not apportion the blame on the aggrieved party, who are already grieving the loss of their near one, a bread earner at that. Let us be human. After all , this can happen to anybody.
