We are once again in the midst of a political theatre. It’s election time and politicians are out on the streets to seduce gullible voters.
Clearly, there is an absence of clear cut issues for the people to vote either for, or against. Perhaps.. a natural fall out of the coalition drama that is often dominated by political compulsions to stitch together the numbers required to rule.
The new power sharing combination often attempts to deliver what each of its constituents had promised their constituencies, individually. How does one address weighty issues like internal security, defense, environment, health, future of the girl child etc? Are voters tired of coalition compulsions? Is ideology taking a backseat?
