In just a few days, India will be celebrating the country's first mission to the Moon. And it's not just the nation's scientific community that's rejoicing.A family in Secunderabad is also celebrating, not just out of national pride but also because Rajzeev Baagree believes he has claim to five acres on the lunar surface.Rajzeev paid Rs 1400 an acre to get a lunar sale and purchase deed document through a website that claims to be the Earth's leading lunar real estate agency."This venture definitely gives me a lot of hope that my dream of going to the Moon may come true in my life time. Hope it doesn't remain a dream and comes true with my own country's infrastructure," said Rajzeev.Rajzeev doesn't believe the deal is a hoax. He proudly shows off his Lunar Republic citizenship certificate. He has been given an address and satellite images tell him the plot's exact location on the moon."I personally feel that Rs 7000 I invested is not a risk. It's a long-term investment, if not for me for my next generation. Being a financial analyst, I feel it will prove to be a good financial investment in future. Then people will definitely say, what a decision it was," he said.Rajzeev says the website tells him there were 8 million buyers for land on Moon, and that it is getting fast sold out.Chandrayaan-1 is ready for take off and it's perhaps the right time to promise the Moon to someone you love and even gift them a piece of it.They are sure to be over the moon, overwhelmed, and you can thank your stars, especially because land on the Moon seems far more affordable than on Earth.
