”The state government hasn't done anything about the problem. We have come to know that some people in the neighbouring area have fallen ill after consuming chicken,” Ghulam Mustafa, a villager.
”We need to take bio-security measures in poultry, right from the backyard to the point of export, to the production lines,” Jacques Diouf, Director General, Food & Agricultural Organisation.
”As soon as we got to know, we sealed our borders. And also sealed the affected areas, so we can control the movement of poultry,” Pradeep Kumar, Secretary, Animal Husbandry.
