Born in 1963 in Delhi, and educated at Bishop Cotton, Lalit Modi attended Duke University in the United States, graduating in 1986 with a degree in marketing.
He began his career as an adversary of the Indian cricket board in the early 90s.
Modi is the Chairman and Commissioner of the Indian Premier league, President of the Rajasthan Cricket Association and Chairman of Champions League T 20.
