| John has been associated with NDTV for more than 12 years. As Executive Vice President of STAR TV, he worked with NDTV on the launch of STAR News. At the start of the 'satellite revolution' in 1989, John was responsible for the launch of the Sky News channel, which was Europe's first 24 hour TV news channel. John has been active in the development of more than 30 of the news, sport, entertainment, documentary and general interest channels appearing on satellite and cable platforms in Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Australia such as SKY UK, the STAR channels in India and China, the National Geographic Channels, the Fox International Channels amongst others. He is a recipient of the Royal Television Society Judges Award for services to British Journalism. John maintains a continuing academic interest in media culture change through Green College, Oxford and HEC University, Paris.
