Woman Dies at Sterilisation Camp in Faridabad, Two Doctors Booked

Faridabad: Two doctors have been booked for negligence in connection with the death of a 25-year-old woman who died at a sterilisation camp organised by the Haryana health department on November 25, police said today.

A case was registered following a complaint by Sukhbir Singh, husband of the victim Rajbala, a resident of Mohana village, in this connection, a police spokesperson said.

Rajbala had gone to the sterilisation camp in the village accompanied by her mother where she died. Family members alleged negligence of doctors, the police said.

A case under Section 304 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) of IPC has been registered against Dr Prahari and Dr Mehra who had operated on the victim, they said.
