Upset Over Abuse On WhatsApp, Man Allegedly Commits Suicide

In a recording sent to his relatives, the man said he was frustrated over abusive WhatsApp messages.

Thane:

A man, identified as Vishal Khade, allegedly committed suicide in Maharashtra's Thane district by jumping in front of a train on Thursday as - according to the police - he was depressed over the abuse he was receiving on WhatsApp.

The police added that Khade and his wife were going to commit suicide together but the man pushed his wife away at the last moment.

They further added that Vishal Khade, a resident of Tempe Pada, had shared a selfie of him and his wife with his relatives on WhatsApp along with a voice recording.

"In the recording, he said that he was frustrated over abusive WhatsApp messages, which he received from a person," news agency Press Trust of india quoted the police.

A case has been registered and investigation is underway.
