Mumbai:
Three persons drowned in a pond near Sanjay Gandhi National Park in suburban Borivali on Thursday, police said.
The bodies of two men, one of a youth and another of a middle-aged man, were fished out of the pond with the help of fire brigade officials, police said adding that the bodieshave been taken to the civic run Bhagwati Hospital.
One body is yet to be found.
According to police, a complaint was received at around 6.30 pm that a 40-year-old man and a 21-year-old youth, who are yet to be identified, had gone for a swim in the pond in Abhinav Nagar area but after some time they went missing in the water.
Following the complaint, fire brigade officials were pressed into service who found the two.
The duo were rushed to nearby hospital after being fished out, police said adding that they were declared dead before admission.
