Students kept hostage in UP for not paying fees
Bijnaur: Two young brothers were kept hostage in their dormitory at school after their mother defaulted on the school's fees for two months.

Udit Sharma, a student in Class 1, and Aditya who was in Class 5, were forbidden by the authorities at Roots International School in UP's Bijnaur district from leaving their dormitory to attend classes.

When their mother, Savita, arrived at school to collect them for Holi, she realized what had happened, and complained to local government officials who rescued the children.  They are now preparing to launch  criminal proceedings against the school.

Savita is estranged from her husband and is an unemployed teacher.

Udit and Aditya are now back at home.
