Rourkela:
A man and his sister were knocked down and killed on the spot when their bicycle was hit by a jeep on the Ring Road of Rourkela Steel city here Sunday evening.
Police said the victim, Ajay Marandi (50) and his sister, while returning from a relative's house on their bicycle, were hit by a speeding jeep.
The sister had come to her brother's house to meet some of her relatives.
The driver of the jeep tried to run away but was caught by the people and handed over to police.
Ajay was working as a daily wage earner, the police said.
