Refused a phone charger, strangers slap housewife

Bangalore: Two strangers slapped a housewife after she declined to offer them a mobile phone charger.

CB Usha, 38, of RK Nagar in Peenya, reportedly told the police that the duo had visited her house around 3.30 pm on October 6, on the pretext of renting a portion of the residence.

"I allowed them inside as they mentioned the name of a broker known to us. They said the broker had sent them to her house," she said.

After they had seen the house, Usha offered them water on their request.

"As the men were leaving the house, they asked if I have a Nokia charger. I found their behaviour suspicious. I told them that we are not interested in renting the house to them," Usha said.

Apparently enraged by the refusal to give the house on rent , the men showered Usha with abuses and slapped her before leaving.

Usha filed a complaint on Monday, when her husband, Rajappa, who was out of town, returned home.

The Peenya police said they had registered a case and were investigating.
