Rajkot:
Underworld don wanted by the Gujarat police in several cases of kidnapping and extortion, Bhogilal Darji, who was arrested in New Delhi on Friday after being deported from Dubai, is being brought to the city, police sources said in Rajkot.
"Darji has been arrested in New Delhi following Rajkot police's information and a Rajkot police team that has taken his custody will arrive here late at night," Rajkot police commissioner H P Singh said.
Darji was closed to underworld don Aftab Ansari, Fazal-ur-Rehman and Asif Raza Khan, police said, adding that the four were involved in the Bhaskar-Paresh kidnapping case.
Asif Raza Khan was killed in police action to get Bhaskar-Paresh freed, while Darji fled the country and settled in Dubai, police said, adding that Interpol had issued a red-corner notice against him.
