Imphal:
A powerful bomb weighing 10 kg has been recovered from Baruni Hill area in Imphal East district of Manipur along with a battery and remote-controlled device, official sources said on Tuesday.
The bomb might have been planted by militants on Monday to attack security and police personnel passing through the area, the sources said.
The suspicious object was detected by locals who informed bomb experts. The experts confirmed that it was a bomb and defused it.
