Thane:
One person was killed and three others injured when a three-storied dilapidated building at Bhivandi collapsed on Sunday afternoon, police said.
The three-storied Kuber Hotel building near Apsara Cinema on the Bhiwandi-Kalyan road crashed around 2.30 pm, police said adding the occupants who were trapped in the debris were being rescued by the firemen.
The three injured were admitted to a local hospital in the town which is famous for powerlooms. The person who was killed in the mishap was identified as Uddheshwar Paswan.
A heavy downpour since Saturday night might have led to the crash of the building which was in a state of disrepair, according to police.
