Mumbai: The Alibag Sessions Court on Monday granted bail to Firoz Ibrahim, accused of raping a seven-year-old school girl in Kalamboli.

He has had enough and I am sure justice will be on his side." Firoz's counsel Sunil Mondey said, "I haven't got the court orders yet. On Tuesday I'll apply for the orders of the copy. It is a process of 2-3 days after which he will be finally out of the jail." Armed with forensic reports, Firoz, moved a bail application in the Alibag Court on September 24. The charge-sheet in the rape case, involving a seven-year-old student was filed on September 17 by the Navi Mumbai Crime Branch at the Panvel court. Firoz, a Biology teacher at St Joseph School in Kalamboli was arrested after the victim pointed at his photograph when asked to identify the accused.

Meanwhile, the brain mapping tests and polygraph tests conducted on Firoz have absolved him of any wrong doings and his role in the case. Earlier, 17 teachers from the school too had applied for anticipatory bail fearing that the victim might identify someone among them as the second accused. The teachers were granted bail by the court.
