Bhopal:
A Jet Airways flight made an emergency landing in Bhopal on Thursday following a problem in one of its engines. The flight was on its way from Bhopal to Ahmedabad.
The trouble in the engine was detected when the plane was mid-air and two of the aircraft's tyres got deflated after landing, leaving the aircraft stranded on the runway.
All the passengers of the flight 9W 2510 have been safely deplaned and efforts are on to move the aircraft from the runway, the airline said.
Jet Airways said it has made provisions for onward journey of all passengers of the plane and provided hotel accommodation for the passengers in transit.
A passenger called NDTV and alleged that there was no fire-fighting equipment on board and even there was no ambulance on the standby on the runway as required under standing operating procedure.
However, airline officials have yet to react to the allegation. (With PTI inputs)
