Jaipur: Municipal Corporation introduces litter patrol

Jaipur: The Jaipur Municipal Corporation (JMC) will introduce riders system on Monday. As per the system, the riders will penalise citizens who litter the roads in all 77 wards of city. The civic body has decided to impose fine in six categories of littering by issuing tickets to offenders.

The maximum fine of Rs 100 has been fixed for defecating, throwing garbage or collecting construction material, littering of pet animals and washing utensils or clothes at public places, while minimum fine of Rs 50 will be charged from citizens for spitting and urinating on and by roadside.

These offences will be printed on ticket along with amount of fine. If the offender denies receiving the ticket the riders will forward challan with amount of fine at their home address.

These riders have been asked to ask names while catching offenders. Also these riders will take rounds in each ward from 7 am to 5 pm.
