New Delhi:
A youth, who was detained in connection with the recovery of a body in a school, allegedly committed suicide at his residence this morning, police said on Tuesday.
The incident was reported from East Vinod Nagar at around 9 am and the victim was identified as Ajay.
The body of a 26-year-old man identified as Girish Rawat was found inside Sarvodaya Kanya Bal Vidyalaya in East Vinod Nagar area two days ago. Police had detained Ajay, Manish and Kallu on Monday and released them later.
A "suicide note" was recovered from the spot in which it was written, "I and my friends are innocent". According to Ajay's parents, he was in depression and this led to him taking the extreme step.
"After coming from the police station, he did not speak to anybody and went to his room. He was then found hanging," said Digambar, the deceased's father.
