Delhi: 11-year-old foils robbery bid

New Delhi: An 11-year-old boy onSaturday foiled an attempt by two robbers to decamp with valuables from hishouse after he raised an alarm forcing the duo to flee.

 

Jatin was alone athis flat in Chander Nagar in the capital when two armed robbers entered hishouse and tried to decamp with valuables.

 

One of the robberswielding a knife threatened the boy not to raise an alarm. Despite receiving acut on his hand by the duo, Jatin ran out of the flat screaming for help.

 

After noticing thathis parents had gone out for market, the 11-year-old went to his uncle's housein the same building and raised an alarm.

 

Fearing that theymight be caught, the robbers ran away without being able to lay their hands onanything.

 

The robbers had comeon a motorcycle and two of their accomplices were probably keeping vigiloutside the building, police said.
