Bomb threat at Delhi Metro station

New Delhi: Commando squads and Quick Reaction Teams (QRTs) were pressed into service after an anonymous call to blow up the Uttam Nagar Metro station was received by police on Sunday.

The CISF, guarding the Metro network, also deployed a passenger profiling team to check all those entering the stations in the wake of the call, which is still to be traced.

The call was made to Noida Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ashok Kumar Singh at 1408 hours on Sunday.

"Anti-sabotage checks and profiling of suspicious people in and around the Metro has been done by the security staff at all important Metro stations," CISF spokesperson Rohit Katiyar said.
