Even though the police is more or less convinced about the suicide theory as far as Priyanka Ramanuj's death is concerned, there remains some doubt. It is because of the lie that Priyanka told her brother about her whereabouts.
This is what has forced the police not to rule out the possibility of something fishy in the case. Talking to DNA, a member of Ramanuj family said that there is no reason why Priyanka should have committed suicide. Sources said she left college with a friend at around 5 pm and reached Aggarwal Mall at around 5.20 pm, where she got down from the bus. She then called her brother Ankul at 5:34 pm and told him that she was in the college library and hence would be late.
The parents came to know that Priyanka had lied when they approached her college where her friend told them that she was with her till 5:20 pm.
Priyanka was to get down near Aggarwal Mall and take her vehicle, which she parked near the mall, home. But she never returned and three days later her decomposed body was found 3 to 4 kilometers away from the place where she had parked her vehicle.
On the day she went missing, Priyanka had left home at 8 in the morning on her two-wheeler. As usual she parked it in front of Bhandhan Hall at Aggarwal Mall, near Gota circle, SG Highway. She took the bus to Chaudhary Technical Institute, in Gandhinagar where she was pursuing an MBA degree.
