76 Delhi govt officials corrupt: Sheila
New Delhi: Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit has said that 76 officials working with the Delhi government were identified as corrupt. She said this in reply to a question in the state assembly on Wednesday.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered cases against these senior Delhi government officials, including five IAS officers, for their alleged involvement in corruption.

Replying to a question, Dikshit said cases were registered against three police officials of DANIPS (Delhi Andaman and Nicobar Island Police Service) cadre.

Apart from them, she said, cases were also registered by the CBI against 67 non-gazette officials and 43 employees of various local bodies under the city government.

Out the 76 officials against whom cases were registered, 12 belonged to the DANICS (Delhi Andaman and Nicobar Island Civil Service) cadre.

Dikshit said cases were registered by the CBI under the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.
