Three children drowned in a pond while taking bath after playing Holi at a village near here, police said on Tuesday.
The incident took place on Sunday when seven children, all below 15 years of age, went to take bath at a pond in Lohrauli village, about 4.5 km from Gorakhpur, circle officer R K Gautam said.
While bathing, three of the children drowned, he said, adding that bodies of the victims have been recovered.
