Congress boss Sonia Gandhi declared that her party will not call off protests to prevent Parliament from functioning till the government delivers the resignation of three leaders, Vasundhara Raje, Sushma Swaraj and Shivraj Chouhan, who are embroiled in different scandals. Mrs Gandhi has rejected a peace offer by the government, which said the PM would speak in Parliament on recent controversies if the Opposition allows Monsoon Session to get down to business and clear important legislation.

  1. "The 'Mann ki baat' man appears to retreat into a 'Maun Vrat'  whenever there is a scandal involving his colleagues"

  2. "He (PM) has been conspicuous by his deafening silence on blatant transgressions by his EAM (External Affairs Minister) and two of his CMs (Chief Ministers)"

  3. "(There will be) no productive discussions, no meaningful proceedings as long as those responsible for gross wrong-doings remain in office"

  4. "Parliamentary majority does not give anyone a license to escape accountability"

  5. "Yesterday's agitators in both the Houses have suddenly become today's champions of debate and discussion"
