Did You Know? 5 Facts About the Delhi Election

New Delhi: Delhi is voting today for a new government. Here are five facts on the polls:

  1. Over 300 voters are above 100 years old.

  2. Of a total 1.3 crore voters, around 2.2 lakh are teenagers or first-time voters; 37 lakhs are between 20 and 29 years.

  3. The Vikas Puri constituency in north Delhi has the largest number of voters and Chandni Chowk in old Delhi has the least.

  4. Seventy strong rooms have been set up in 14 locations in the national capital where electronic voting machines will be stored after polling. The Election Commission is keeping an eye on polling through a live web cast in a control room.

  5. Over 9,000 voters are homeless, says the Election Commission.
