His custody was to end today, a day before by-elections are held to 18 Assembly seats and one Lok Sabha constituency in Andhra Pradesh. A high-decibel campaign ended on Sunday evening; the by-polls are being described as the semi-finals ahead of the 2014 Assembly elections.

The YSR Congress is fielding candidates in all the constituencies that are up for grabs.  Mr Reddy was drawing a powerful reaction on his tour of areas like Guntur.

The questioning that began at 10:30 am this morning is likely to continue till the evening.Jagan's family sent him lunch from home.
