Mission Accomplished, Going Home, Says NRI Campaigner for Modi

Dr Vasudev Patel was born in Mehsana, Gujarat in 1956. He is a scientist (in Atlanta, Georgia. He is also the President of Gujarati Association of Atlanta and co-ordinator of Overseas Friends of the BJP. He's  in India for six weeks to campaign for BJP's prime ministerial candidate, Narendra Modi.

I was in Gandhinagar initially and in Ahmedabad for the rest of the day when the results were counted. We watched the entire election results on NDTV ..the whole day. I am leaving today to return to the US. I have already spent almost six weeks campaigning for Narendra Bhai here,  so now it is time to go back. Our work here is done. Mission accomplished, I would say.

People opened their hearts and voted for Narendra bhai. People voted for BJP.  We were expecting close to 300 seats. But going to 330-332 was not expected. People wanted to make the change. The first credit goes to the people of India who voted, and second credit goes to the able leadership of Narendra bhai and NaMo wave.

I have not met  Narendra Bhai yet...he has been so busy. But definitely in the near future we will be visiting him. We will come back from America, and will bring many of other well-wishers.

The visit was excellent. We were not expecting so much hard work in the field. But we never got tired. It was really, really adventurous for us..I've come here so many times but this was the most difficult amongst any of my past visits. People everywhere loved us overwhelmingly, I have myself addressed 80 small town meetings for different candidates in Gujarat as well as Uttar Pradesh. It was a marvelous experience.

As an NRI, I feel very proud today. We will go back with pride. The good effects have started showing up right away. The economy has started booming, the dollar has started falling down. And this is just an early indication for things to come when Narendra bhai takes charge.
