Bhubaneswar:
Passengers of a Delhi-bound train from Puri were stranded for about half-an-hour on Wednesday night as smoke emanated from under a coach due to a technical snag, railway sources said.
The Puri-Hazrat Nizamuddin Utkal Express halted near Malatipatapur between Puri and Bhubaneswar as smoke emanated from below an A/C coach due to the tight fitting of a belt, the sources said.
A senior railway official said that there was no fire and that all the passengers were safe, adding that train services on the Puri-Howrah route were not affected due to the incident. The train resumed its onward journey after repairs were made.
