Watch: Man in Indore shot dead on camera

Indore: A 30-year-old bus operator was shot dead on Tuesday by unknown assailants when he went for his morning prayers at a temple in Indore, police said.

The incident took place at Sarvate bus stand and the deceased was identified as Manoj Sonkar, they said.

A profusely bleeding Manoj, who suffered bullet injuries on his chest, was rushed to a private hospital where he was declared dead, police said.

Old enmity was said to be the primary reason, they said.

The assailants fled the scene when the police arrived at the spot, while the modus operandi of crime was being investigated, SSP Sai A Manohar said.

Extra forces were deployed at the bus stand to diffuse tension, as parents, relatives of the deceased and other bus operators protested demanding arrest of the alleged killers in front of the Senior SP, who rushed to the spot to take the stock of the situation, police added.
