'Super thief' Bunty arrested in Bhopal
Bhopal: Devendra Singh alias Bunty, the most wanted thief in India, has been nabbed in Madhya Pradesh, police said on Monday, two days after nabbing the high-profile thief who has participated in reality TV show "Big Boss".

Bunty, who has more than 500 cases of theft registered against him in different police stations of India, was arrested by Bhopal police Saturday from a hotel.

Bunty, who was part of "Big Boss season-4" and a film "Oye Lucky, Lucky Oye" was made on him, was nabbed by police after a tip-off.

A citizen Altaf had informed Kotwali police station that Bunty is staying at a hotel. He told police that he had seen Bunty in "Big Boss season-4" and he is the same person.

Some items like silver spoon, an idol and other goods stolen from New Friends Colony, Delhi, were recovered from him.

Bunty tried to fool the police by claiming his name is Nepolean and he is from Nepal. He had also booked the room under this name. He also acted like a deranged person during police custody.

However, Madhya Pradesh police asked Delhi Police for his finger prints to identify him.

"Delhi Police today matched his finger prints and confirmed that the arrested person is Bunty himself," Senior Superintendent of Police Yogesh Choudhary told IANS.
