Bhopal:
Robbers looted Rs 4.4 lakh at gunpoint from a petrol pump located on the Hoshangabad Road in Misrod area in Bhopal.
Three robbers, who came in a four-wheeler, entered the petrol pump's cabin around 4.30 am on Sunday, and decamped with a safe weighing 5.5 quintal which contained cash of Rs 3.8 lakh, police said on Monday.
The trio also took away Rs 24,000 from two employees and Rs 35,000 kept in a drawer.They also beat up some of the employees, police said.
The petrol pump is owned by Ajay Singh, who is the President of the Madhya Pradesh Petroleum Dealer's Association. Police are looking for the culprits.
