Bengaluru: The Vibgyor school in Whitefield, near Bengaluru, had an unexpected visitor on Sunday morning -- a leopard, which was caught on the school's CCTV cameras.

A security guard saw the big cat on the premises and raised the alarm a little after 4 am.

The Vibgyor School is located in Kundanahalli in the outskirts of the city - around 25 km from Bengaluru.

The police and the forest officials soon reached.

In the CCTV footage, the leopard is seen wandering around the corridors. From there it entered what appeared to be the backyard and climbed the wall of the swimming pool.

The footage also shows a forest official grappling with the big cat at the side of the swimming pool. He sustained a minor injury.

After a day-long operation, the animal was tranquilised and captured towards the evening.

At least four people were injured during the operation -- one of them was conservationist Sanjay Gubbi, who was bit on his leg and arms by the feline.

The last time a leopard was seen in the Whitefield area was four years ago, in 2012.
