BENGALURU: A six-year-old girl is in hospital with multiple bite injuries after she was attacked by at least 10 stray dogs in Bengaluru on Thursday.

The girl, Ramya, a resident of Maagadi in west Bengaluru, was playing with her friend when a group of stray dogs began biting and dragging the child around. She sustained a number of wounds including four-five large lacerations.

Ramya was taken to the Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences and after being given first aid she was shifted to the paediatric ward.

Dr Srinivasa, Head of Department Paediatrics at KIMS Hospital told NDTV that Ramya's condition is now stable.

"We've dressed her wounds and there is not much bleeding. As of now, treatment is being given for free," he said.

Ramya is currently under observation and will be discharged within the next three days.
