Punjab: Amarinder Singh's son files nomination papers

Samana (Patiala): Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee chief Amarinder Singh's son Raninder filed his nomination papers for the Samana Assembly seat on Thursday as Congress candidate.

He was accompanied by his mother Preneet Kaur, who is a Union minister, and his father besides other family members.

The PCC chief later told reporters that party rebels would be "suitably accommodated" in the event of Congress coming to power in the state.

"They should realise that if they want to be part of the government, they should be part of the party first and when government is formed in the state, they would be suitably accommodated," he said.

Mr Singh hoped that the party would win over the dissidents soon.

Asked about his estranged brother Malvinder Singh campaigning at Samana, he said, "I wish him good luck."
