Former Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan tells NDTV that he takes full responsibility for the Congress' defeat in the Assembly elections.

- We believe our developmental record would speak for itself; NCP deserted us minutes before the final date of filing
- We had to search for candidates and logistics of it
- Never before a PM has campaigned so aggressively
- It also underlines the fact that there was no Modi wave, he had to use all the state machinery to create the aura of Modi phenomenon
- There was 15 years of Congress rule, charges of corruption against government, tried to correct the situation but couldn't reach ultimate result
