Aam Aadmi chief Arvind Kejriwal addresses a press conference in North Avenue in Delhi.

Here are the highlights:

  • The BJP installed 15,000 CCTV cameras for Obama's visit, and now I have heard they are taking them off. They couldn't do it for the women in Delhi.
  • BJP's ministers says that women should give birth to 4-5 kids, they say women should not work. (on BJP MP Sakshi Maharaj's remark)
  • AAP wants to create an environment in which women feel safe and walk the streets of Delhi without any fear.
  • We will install street lights in every corner of the city, primarily, for the safety of women.
  • BJP thinks that women are safest in a locked room. AAP wants to give women their due freedom. People of Delhi have to choose what model they like.
  • We will falicitate a dedicated security button for women on their mobile phones which they can use to alert the police in case of emergencies.
  • We will create Wi-FI zones in Delhi so that these alerts reach the police from anywhere in the city.
  • All government buses in the city will have a security guard each.
