Pakistan's ISI calls off UK visit

email

London: Pakistan's ISI has reportedly cancelled the visit of its officials to Britain after British Prime Minister David Cameron's remarks against terror camps on Pakistani soil.

David Cameron, in an interview to NDTV's Prannoy Roy, had said all terror links and camps in Pakistan needed to be shut down and that it was unacceptable for anything to happen in Pak that is responsible for promotion of terrorism elsewhere.

ISI officials have called off talks with UK security experts, according to reports published in UK newspaper The Guardian.

ISI officials were to visit London for talks on counter terrorism with British security services.

The newspaper quoted an ISI spokesman saying, "Such irresponsible statements could affect our co-operation with Britain."

However, Pakistan president Asif Ali Zardari's visit to the UK next week is on as of now when he will meet David Cameron at his country retreat.
