Government Buildings Blown Up in Northwest Pakistan

Peshawar, Pakistan: Unidentified men today blew up three government buildings, including a hospital and two schools, in restive northwest Pakistan.

Dynamite was used to blow up the buildings in Mohamad and Charsadda districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

According to reports, a government-run hospital was blown up in Shabqadar tehsil in Charsadda.

Security forces cordoned off the area and started search operation for the culprits.

Reports said that two primary schools were blown up in Mohmand. The explosions were heard in far-off villages.

The blast was so powerful that it smashed windowpanes of nearby buildings, residents of the area said.
