Ebola Doctor Went Out in 'Limited Way': New York Governor

New York: Governor Andrew Cuomo says the New York doctor who has tested positive for Ebola "obviously felt he wasn't symptomatic" when he went out "in a limited way."

Cuomo made his comments on NBC's Today show Friday after being asked whether Dr. Craig Spencer acted responsibly, even though he rode the subway, bowled and rode a cab.

Spencer recently returned to the city after treating Ebola patients in West Africa.

The governor said Spencer had been taking his temperature twice a day and took himself to a hospital as soon as he had a fever. As a doctor, Cuomo said Spencer knew you're not contagious until you're symptomatic.

Spencer tested positive for the virus on Thursday. He is the first case in the city and the fourth in the nation.
