Around the world with no money

Bangalore: Around the world in 8 days is tough enough, but around the world with zero dollars? A reality show star from the US is attempting to do just that - and he has landed up in India. Well, the deal for this reality show candidate is that he has to travel to as many countries in the world as he can, in 100 days, but with no money in his pocket.

Reality show star, Jeff Schroeder can't beg, borrow or steal either. He is allowed to go only where someone is willing to host him, feed him and buy him a ticket further. Like radio show host Kenny Jones who invited him to Bangalore.

"When we found out he was trying to get around the world for free, we were following him. There was a fantastic chance....the next thing we know he is at our doors...We aren't ready to kick him out yet," said Kenny.

Viewers have been following Jeff everyday on his trail.

"I was in this little village in Laos... so I needed 18 dollars to take a bus... sounds simple enough. But I didn't speak the language and 18 dollars in Laos where I was a month's salary," said Jeff.

It finally took one kind soul to get him out of Laos. Like it took a kind Indian to get him from Bangalore to Goa - for free.

"I will be honest with you... coming to India, I had no idea what it was... I saw Slumdog Millionaire... and that's it!" proclaimed Jeff.
