A father sings to dying newborn after wife died during childbirth
A new father, a grieving husband looks on at the infant's crib in a hospital - singing the Beatles' song 'Blackbird'. In
the video uploaded on November 12 - Cris Picco hums "you're only waiting for this moment to rise."
A day after filming this, Lennon James Picco, who was delivered by emergency C-section at 24 weeks when Chris' wife Ashley tragically passed away in her sleep, died.
The video was recorded on November 11 and put on Cris' friend
KC Hohensee's YouTube channel. Describing the video, Cris wrote:
"During the pregnancy, Ashley would often feel Lennon moving to music so Chris asked if he could bring his guitar into the NICU and play for Lennon, which he did for several hours during the last days of Lennon's precious life. One day after filming this, Lennon "went to sleep in his daddy's arms."
In little over 24 hours since it was uploaded this video has been viewed on YouTube over 250,000 times - and shared on other social media platforms across the world.
