Tamil Nadu Governor K Rosaiah Calls on PM Modi in Delhi

Chennai: Governor of Tamil Nadu and Karnataka, K Rosaiah, today called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi, the Raj Bhavan said.

"The meeting was a courtesy call," an official statement in Chennai said.

Rosaiah, who took over as the Governor of Tamil Nadu in 2011 replacing Surjit Singh Barnala, had been recently given additional charge of Karnataka after H R Bhardwaj's term came to an end last week.

Rosaiah also met President Pranab Mukherjee and Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh.

These meetings were also described as courtesy calls, Raj Bhavan officials said.
