email

Coimbatore: A woman, who was kidnapped at the age of three around 27 years ago at Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala, has returned to Coimbatore in search of her parents.

According to Beena, then Bindu, she along with her parents had gone to Thiruvananthapuram in 1985, and while returning a stranger kidnapped her from near a bus stand for ornaments.

The man held her captive in a house for nearly six months and left her alone wandering, in a village near the Kerala capital, she said.

She was then adopted by a kind Muslim couple -- Tajuddin and Subaida -- who looked after her as their own daughter.

She was renamed as Beena. She got married about 12 years ago to a daily wager and has two children.

Beena is waiting to see her parents eagerly and left photos for identification with newspaper offices, police said.
