Bengaluru:
Four minor boys have been arrested for allegedly raping a 7-year-old girl in Kalburgi district in north Karnataka. The incident took place on Friday evening, the police said.
The family of the girl filed a police complaint after which the boys were arrested.
"My daughter was at home, these boys took her with them and did this. I know one of them, but not sure who the other three are. I was in Mumbai when I got to know about the incident. I want those who have committed the crime should be given the harshest punishment," said the girl's mother.
The accused have been charged with rape, Kalburgi Superintendent of Police Amit Singh told NDTV.
The child has been admitted to hospital for medical check-up, her condition is said to be stable.
Police said her medical report is awaited.
