Bangalore: Five persons of a family were killed and as many others injured in a head-on collision involving a car and a bus in Chikmagalur district of Karnataka this morning.
The victims hailing from Tumkur were returning home after a pilgrimage to Sigandhur when the car and the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation bus collided at Geddalahalli near Kadur, police told PTI from Chikmagalur.
Four persons were killed on the spot while another died at government hospital in Chikmagalur where five injured were undergoing treatment, police said.
