Kakinada (Andhra Pradesh): Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy said on Monday that the notification for holding local bodies polls will be issued soon.
"The state government has already taken a decision to conduct local body elections and the notification in this regard would be issued soon once the court cases in this regard are dealt with," Mr Reddy told reporters on the sidelines of the state government's outreach programme in East Godavari district.
The chief minister said the tickets will be given only to those workers who have worked hard for strengthening the party at the grassroots level.
"The ground-level workers in the party play a crucial role. The party recognises their services and will reward them suitably at an appropriate time," he said.
Mr Reddy also rubbished reports that he had any differences with the state unit party president Botsa Satyanarayana.
"We are working together to implement the government programmes and to strengthen the party," Mr Reddy added.
